Google's Set Top Box; Could Android and G.hn Intersect?

According to Gizmodo, Google's set top box won't replace your present one. The idea is to daisy chain it with your present set top box and other devices. The story which you may read here, points to the fact that it's going to be Android-based, and have the Chrome browser. It's too early to be in the predictions or advisory business, but I would like to see more G.hn OEMs thinking along the same lines.
I've been following the emerging news about a Google set top box, looking for more an more evidence of Internet-based TV coming to your wired home network.
