During CES 2011, I'm doing video and audio interviews. The video part takes time to edit and post, but the audio interviews post instantly and are meant to be shorter snippets and overviews of what's new with G.hn at CES. I'll be posting the video interviews over the weekend.
Here's Matt Theall, HomeGridForum's President and Intel Technology Strategist
Here's Lantiq's Director of Business Development, Chano Gomez:
HomeGrid Forum President Re-Elected to Smart Grid Interoperability Panel Governing Board

HomeGrid Forum, announced in December that Matthew Theall, President of HomeGrid Forum and a Technology Strategist at Intel Corporation was re-elected to another two year term on the SmartGrid Interoperability Panel (SGIP) Governing Board.
This video was shot at CES 2010. As you can see, many of Matt's visions are coming to fruition. I look forward to catching up with Matt at CES 2011 next month.
The mission of the SGIP is to provide a strong framework for coordination of all stakeholders of the Smart Grid to accelerate standards harmonization and development. The SGIP does not write standards, instead it develops and reviews use cases, identifies requirements, lists approved standards, and proposes action plans for achieving Smart Grid interoperability and coexistence goals.
The SGIP has organized itself into stakeholder categories and Mr. Theall was elected by his category peers in Category 10: Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Infrastructure and Service Providers. Matt is also the chair of the Governing Board SGIP Bylaws and Interoperability Bylaws and Operating Practices Work Group.
This work group puts operating procedures and practices in place for the SGIP and oversees proposed changes to the bylaws.
